Adria Weights (Updated For 2021)

It’s really important to know the weight of your caravan for numerous reasons. However, the information that you need is often hard to come by. That’s why I’ve written this blog post, to pull all the Adria caravan weights into one place.

You must know the weight of your caravan for numerous reasons. The primary reason to find out the weight of your caravan is to make sure you can tow it on your license. Depending on when you gained your driving license, some caravan might be too heavy to tow legally. Furthermore, it’s crucial to find out whether your car is capable of towing the caravan you’re looking at. You can read more about figuring out which caravans you can tow in my blog post What Size Caravan Can I Tow?

I have included three important weight-related pieces of information for each caravan in this blog post: MiRO, MTPLM, and user payload. Briefly, here’s what each of these means:

  • MiRO: MiRO, or MRO, stands for Mass iRunning Order. The MiRO of your caravan is the weight of the caravan as it leaves the factory in its standard form. This number counts everything included as standard, such as all the appliances that the caravan comes equipped with.
  • MTPLM: MTPLM stands for Maximum Technically Permissable Laden Mass. The MTPLM is the maximum weight of your caravan including the user payload.
  • User payload: The user payload is the difference between the Mass in Running Order and the Maximum Technically Permissable Laden Mass of your caravan. It’s the maximum weight that can be added to your caravan, so it’s important to keep an eye on this one and ensure you don’t overload your caravan. Please note also that any extras you have added to your caravan will eat into the user payload and are not added into the MiRO figure.

To make your life easier, this blog post compiles the MiROs, MTPLMs, and max loading weight for all of the following Adria caravans (updated for 2021). Select your caravan from the list below to be taken to the weights for your tourer:

Whether you’re travelling with family or friends, this caravan offers more than enough room for all.

The Adria Altea Aire is the smallest of the Adria Altea range: a 2 berth caravan. Despite it’s small size, there’s a lot of positives to note with this caravan such as the sizeable end washroom and the contemporary interior.

The lounge of the Aire is excellent, providing plenty of room for two people to kick back and relax. The Aire also has plenty of storage, with overhead lockers and cupboards throughout. Not to mention it is also a lightweight caravan at only 1254kg.

The Adria Altea Tyne is a stylish, spacious 4 berth caravan offering versatility to its owners. The Tyne’s layout is similar to the Adria Adora Seine, with a full width end washroom adjacent to 2 fixed single beds.

The versatility of this caravan is undoubtedly one of the key selling points. The fixed beds can be used by adults and children alike. So presuming you have two adults sleeping on the double at the front, you have two single beds for guests. This layout is ideal if you could have a range of guests. For example, sometimes you may have grandchildren and other times you might have two friends.

The Adria Altea Dart is a 4 berth caravan with a fixed double bed at the rear and a central washroom which act as en-suite facilities to the users of the rear bedroom.

This is an ideal caravan for a couple that have the occasional guests, in my opinion. You have the fixed double bed at the rear, which is ideal for most couples. At the front, you have the lounge which converts into a further double bed. The double bed made up in the lounge is ideal if you have guests.

Adria Altea Avon weight information

The Adria Altea Avon is a large 6 berth caravan. This caravan has a very modern appearance and seems very spacious, perhaps because of the large front window and sunroof. This is one of my favourite caravans for young families. Here’s why.

  • Modern, attractive appearance: The Altea Avon has a modern, attractive appearance. If looks are important to you, this caravan is eye-catching outside and well-presented inside. The living room is a particular treat thanks to the great seating and windows.
  • Great bathroom: The bathroom is one of the best you’ll find in a single-axle 6 berth caravan of this size. There is a separate walk-in shower that’s large compared to most you’ll find. Furthermore, there is storage in the form of cupboard space, perfect for your soap, shower gels, and so on.
  • Sizeable kitchen with plenty of storage: The Altea Avon kitchen is quite impressive, with a 3-burner hob, oven, sink, full-size microwave, and full-size fridge. The kitchen also has absolutely loads of storage, with three large drawers under the sink and two lockers above. One of the lockers contains the microwave, which comes as standard.
