Airstream travel trailer dimensions (Updated for 2021)

When looking to purchase a travel trailer, the dimensions should be one of the first things you look at. Knowing the dimensions means you know the limitations and potential restrictions of the travel trailer you are considering purchasing.

This article will be looking at the numerous Airstream travel trailers on sale. Now, you can of course browse the article manually, but if you would rather view a specific model, then you can look to the contents we have provided to you below:

DISCLAIMER: This article will focus on only one floorplan of each model. There are more to browse, definitely, but we will be using the default details presented to us.

Airstream Classic Travel Trailer Dimensions

Created in the image of full time living and long scale road trips. the Airstream Classic was designed to ensure a level of comfort and homeliness for the user.

Ranging from 30 to 33 feet in size, one of the Classic’s biggest selling points is that it boasts the highest storage capacity of any travel trailer in the Airstream Line. With large wardrobes, spacious cabinets and general storage in abundance, the Classic aims to provide the traveller with a luxurious living experience that is minimally hampered by poor storage capacities.

The Classic, as it’s name may suggest, has a heavy focus on perfecting the fundamentals. With power controls for aspects of the vehicle such as the blinds and lights, heated bathroom features and handcrafted cabinetry, the Classic is an ideal choice for traveller’s seeking an easy travel into the world.

Bedding up to five travellers, the Classic sells for prices starting at around $165,900. Now, I’m aware that this is quite a hefty price-tag. In fact, it is the most expensive model by Airstream that they currently sell. However, the Classic is also the largest, and encompasses the most. So, whilst the tag is definitely noticeably high, it is at least somewhat justifiable.

Airstream Pottery Barn Travel Trailer Dimensions

The second in the line of Airstream travel trailers is the Airstream Pottery Barn. The Pottery Barn comes with comfortable seating, and a solid oak table for dining. Noticeably though, the Pottery Barn comes with an outdoor hanging table that can be easily set up at any occasion, allowing the traveller a consistent outdoor setting that takes mere seconds to establish.

The Pottery Barn shares the same level of technology that is held by the Classic, the smart control technology that allows the user to control multiple aspects of the travel trailer from their smartphone. Also, as you may have expected from the name of the vehicle, the Pottery Barn trailer comes with some Pottery Barn furniture, all included within the trailer.

Sitting at 28-feet makes it slightly smaller than the aforementioned Classic, which may be of great appeal to certain brackets of buyers. Another factor of the Pottery Barn that may boost its appeal is its price, which though still fairly expensive, begins at $145,500, shaving a solid $20,000 from the Classic pricetag.

A noticeable factor of the Pottery Barn is the lower net carrying capacity in comparison to the Classic. Of course, depending on your travelling preferences, you may prefer the net carrying capacity of the Pottery Barn if it is a smaller party you seek to travel with.

Airstream Globetrotter Travel Trailer Dimensions

The Globetrotter is defined as “a design enthusiast’s dream”, with a delicately crisp style and appearance that launches it into the centre of modern design. Staying loyal to the all aluminium shell that has launched Airstream into mainstream popularity, the Globetrotter is a true call back to the early days of the company, when founder Willy Byam ventured into Europe in the 1960s.

Though the exterior is rustic and deliberately dated, this is not to say the interior is in anyway negated or neglected. The Globetrotter is up to date with modern features, appliances and technology, all within the confines of a strikingly gorgeous design, with darkened wooden finishes adorned with the white topped surfaces and European Franke faucets.

The electrics within the Globetrotter run on a similar principle to that of its sister models, but this shouldn’t be a concern if you are planning on travelling somewhat off the grid. The televisions within the camper can operate on a 110V battery powered system, ensuring you can enjoy the comforts of home in spite of lacking power or other general electricity.

As is clear, the Globetrotter has a layout that certainly separates it from the other models discussed so far. To some, it may seem far more enclosed, which understandably may ostracise it from certain markets. For others, though, it may be more ideal, providing a more homely feel to the camper. The Globetrotter currently sells for prices starting at $101,800.

Airstream International Travel Trailer Dimensions

The International is a finely balanced travel trailer that, in accordance to its name, offers the buyer a luxuriously comfortable environment for their travels.

On offer with the 25FB and 27FB editions of the International is a rear hatch, reserved usually for only special edition travel trailers by Airstream. With a style, both interior and exterior, enriched in calm, the International aims to please the traveller with its simplicity and convenience.

Sleeping four to six people with a list of twelve floorplans you can browse, the International boasts a cool, darkened wooden interior with clean installations of modern features, and a galley kitchen that has been fitted with the best it could be fitted with. With a Furrion stove accompanying the many other aspects of the galley, the International has a kitchen that could entice even the worst of chefs.

With Ultraleather seating, the International’s comfort is not only in appearance. Whilst the kitchen bares a rustic look, the living area perfectly contrasts this with its modern layout. With LG TV’s, a JL stereo and Quietstream climate control, the International makes sure that you, the traveller, has total control over your entertainment and standard of living, whilst too being directly in line with modernity.

The International currently sells for prices starting at $96,800. You will have noticed a trend of decreasing prices as this list has gone on, and this is something that will continue for its entirety.

Airstream Flying Cloud Travel Trailer Dimensions

The Flying Cloud is something of a flagship for Airstream, currently ranking as its most popular travel trailer. Coming with a massive fifteen floor plans, the Flying Cloud will have at least one option that is best suited to your needs. Not only this, but each and every plan comes with the expected cool, airy and overall gorgeous design that you would come to expect from the Flying Cloud.

As is the case with the International, the Flying Cloud also comes with the brilliantly engineered rear hatch that is often only reserved for special edition travel trailers. The hatch allows you, the traveller, to enjoy breath-taking views as you relax or dine on the table located at the rear of the trailer. Once done, a simple notion to close the hatch is all you need. Comfort and beauty, intertwined within the simple mechanism of a rear hatch.

Elsewhere in the interior of the Flying Cloud, which in itself is brimming with modernity, is an abundance of storage. An overall cleanly presented wooden finish, the Flying Cloud holds cabinets, pantries and other nooks and crannies that offer you space in spades. This storage is located throughout the trailer, including within the kitchen which, alone, would serve to encompass the striking modern expectations of technology and usage.

As you can see, the specifications of the Flying Cloud (the 23CB edition, which is the default option you are shown when looking into the specs) are shared with those of the International. You can guess that, by this, the Flying Cloud is not in any way over or undersized, encompassing all the features that makes it so popular in a fairly and understandably sized space.

The Flying Cloud holds the Ultraleather seating and Quietstream climate control systems that have made other Airstream models so popular. They, collectively, ensure comfort and ease in maintaining that comfort. In the 30FB model of the Flying Cloud, an office is offered to the traveller, which would allow one with a large workload to enjoy the liberty of travel whilst too possessing a space to complete their admin.

The Flying Cloud sells at prices starting from $83,300.

Airstream Caravel Travel Trailer Dimensions

Coming with four floor plans, the Caravel is noticeably smaller than the other models of the Airstream line currently mentioned, with the Caravel coming in a size between 16 and 22 inches. That being said, the smaller size does not take away from the overarching calibre of the model. The Caravel is a homely trailer and, though historic in appearance, has a revamped interior that is embracing the modernity of now.

The Caravel is small, yes, but this makes it a far easier trailer to travel with than most already mentioned in this list. The Caravel is unique in that it can be carried by an SUV, whilst others here simply can not.

(Credit: Airstream)

As you will be able to see in the above image, the kitchen within the Caravel is proportionate to the overall size of the trailer. With a classically influenced gas stove, much of the Caravel is a true callback to the initial model from the 1950s, yet the newer edition maintains the lightweight, small frame assembly. With panoramic windows plastered to the front and back of the trailer, the Caravel will be bombarded with natural lighting throughout your travels.

With prices starting at around $65,700, the Caravel is certainly one of the cheaper in the Airstream ‘fleet’. Course, you could have expected this with the relatively small size of the trailer. Regardless, the price and convenience of the Caravel may serve to be their ultimate drawing factors when buyers are considering which travel trailer to use.

Airstream Bambi Travel Trailer Dimensions

The Bambi is the final model in the Airstream line of travel trailers. Now, I am acutely aware that the name ‘Bambi’ may not promote the most stable of ideas to you initially, what with the film and everything. However, the name is more of a reference to a nickname, bestowed to the smallest of single-axle travel trailers, so don’t let that worry you.

The Bambi is now officially its own family of lightweight travel trailers, with each model taking care of the little things so you can enjoy the larger things. Sharing a similar frame to the Caravel, the Bambi’s small stature allows easy carrying and movement from place to place. Though smaller, it still maintains the modern freshness you will have come to expect from any Airstream model of travel trailer.

The Bambi holds all features you may have come to expect from Airstream, with the same seating and climate control as each aforementioned model to ensure you have the most comfort you can as a traveller. It too makes sure to utilise its limited space to the best of its ability. The dining area doubles as a living area, and even that can be transformed into another sleeping space.

Starting at prices of $52,700, the Bambi is, at least initially, the cheapest listed trailer from Airstream. Not only will this alone appeal to at least some buyers, but it is definitely worth noting that in spite of its size, the Bambi is more than capable of holding its own as a travel trailer.
