The Alps Mountaineering Backpacking tents are a series of lightweight camping tents that have been specially designed to be comfortable enough for families, groups, and even solo campers, with tents ranging in capacity from 1 to 4. The majority of tents in this range use a pre-bent pole system with a top cross pole that creates a more expansive interior space than conventional tents. This is what makes these tents so ideal for backpacking. They are lightweight, yet don’t require you to compromise on any space or on quality as all of the tents in the Alps Mountaineering range are designed with high-quality fabrics and materials.

Camping Tents

No matter what type of camping trip you’re planning, the Camping tents by Alps Mountaineering are a great addition to any trip. The Mermac tents within this range are all free-standing 2-pole designs with shock-corded fiberglass and aluminium ferrules. The ferrules are the connectors that hold the poles together. What makes the Mermac tents unique is that they use aluminium, rather than steel, because aluminium doesn’t rust. These tents also use lightweight yet strong polyester fabrics. The side walls are left uncoated to allow breathability under the urethane-coated fly, which uses a pole in the top. This gives you an awning over each door making this tent excellent for protection against the rain.

Outfitter Tents
This section compiles the dimensions of the Alps Mountaineering Outfitter Tents range. The dimensions I’ve listed are the:

These Outfitter tents feature oversized door zippers that are guaranteed to give you a lifetime of smooth movement, as well as an Oxford floor which is double the weight of normal nylon floor material, as this increases the durability of your tent. The most impressive aspect of these tents is the fact that the poles are made from aircraft alloy 7000 series aluminum that is strong and lightweight. In addition to this, the assembly of these tents is very easy with the tent clips that simply snap in place over the poles. In order to maximise the weatherproof effects of the tent, the polyester fly and oxford floor are urethane coated with factory-sealed seams.
